I'm not sure I understand the linear representation. Can you explain that in layman's terms?

Really all that it says in this case is that the number of photo of the week entrants has decreased over time, while the number of people tagging photos has increased over time. It looks like the POTWE is increasing faster than the NOPTP is decreasing, but it's hard to tell for sure since there are generally more NOPTP than POTWE. If you looked just at the green bars, you might not be able to tell that the trend is decreasing (they're kinda all over the place), so the line shows what it's sometimes hard for your eye to see.
It just says "linear" because I chose that over somethin all crazy and complicated.
